Who are we?

// Adia Parris – General Coordinator

Hi there! My name is Adia Parris and I will be FASA’s new General Coordinator for the 2019/2020 year. Born and raised on the small island of Barbados, I decided to journey to Montreal to pursue my interest in the arts and was able to find a wonderful community of like minded people. Now, I am currently going into my third year in the Studio Arts program at Concordia. Fine arts students deserve every opportunity possible.I believe that organizations like FASA are so important because of the resources they provide to students. We are able to gain experience and involve ourselves in activities that otherwise might not be made available to us. This year I am very excited to work with this beautiful team and with them, discover new ways in which we can benefit you; the fine arts students of Concordia.

// Elsa Donovan – Club & Services Coordinator

Hi everyone, my name is Elsa and I am excited to be FASA’s Clubs and Services Coordinator for this year! I am currently a third year student in the department of Design and Computation Arts, finishing up a double major in Computer Science and Computation Arts. I have previously worked at other student organizations including the Hive Solidarity Co-op Café as well as at Cinema Politica. I love the sense of community I have experienced in the Fine Arts department, and aim to do my part in supporting my fellow peers achieve what they set their minds to. Looking forward to meeting as many of you as I can!

// Daisy Duncan – Student Life Coordinator

Hi FASA, my name is Daisy Duncan and I am the new Student Life Coordinator! I am currently a third year student in the department of Art History, and I have previously (and continue to) contribute to various fine arts groups and publications at the university, such as Ethnocultural Art Histories Research Group, and the Undergraduate Student Exhibition Journal. I feel very lucky for my experience entering Concordia’s Fine Arts community during my first year, and I hope that I can contribute, through my position, in making other new students feel as welcome, connected, and happy within this community!

// Katherine Parthimos – Outreach Coordinator

Hello everyone! My name is Katherine Parthimos and I am FASA’s Outreach coordinator for the 2019-2020 school year! I am entering my last year as a Studio Arts major and I am excited to share this year with all of you!

The fine arts department holds such a warm body of people and I am so excited to represent you all this year. I am excited to bring more opportunities, events and resources back into the fine arts community in which I have spent so much time a part of. You can mostly find me on the internet, running the social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram! Feel free to drop a comment and say hello!

// Sue Callender – Office Coordinator

Hi I’m Sue, FASA’s office coordinator. I’m finishing my last year of theatre and communications studies. I’ve gotten to work with other sweet organisations on campus over the years like the Fine Arts Reading Room and the VAV Gallery. I keep my spare time for writing and staging theatre and I look at my practice as a site for solidarity and community building. I’m around the office lots so please feel free to stop by and talk to me or shoot me an email if you’ve got any questions. I’m so happy to be supporting other fine arts students this year in making all kinds of art happen!

// Clara Micheau – Finance Coordinator

Coucou great soul! My name is Clara Micheau and it’s a pleasure to be your Finance Coordinator. I am currently in my third year of Studio Arts with a focus on ceramics and sculpture. The artistic Faculty is full of energy that I love and I strongly believe in our warm student communities where we help each other reach our goals. I feel lucky and happy to be part of our thriving group. At FASA, I will be contributing by managing financial matters, working on large-scale projects and advocating for students’ rights.
